2 Weeks After Watching The Fyre Festival Documentary, I Realized I Actually Worked In One

To tell the story of this scam, I must start at the very end.

B: “Charles, get out, you’ve got to get out of this office right now.”

Me: “ Ok, but I thought I had until the end of the day.”

B: “No, you were PAID until the end of the day.”

Me: “Ok, ok I’ll be leaving.”

B: “No. Now. Leave.”

As he stood there trying to dominate me, I took my time getting up from the table I had been sitting on in our Sr. account executive’s office. In that moment I realized, to the fullest extent, that the once charming man had briefly taken off his veil.

Thus, revealing a lack of character and ego fitting the same mold as people like, Billy McFarland of the infamous Fyre Festival. (If you haven’t heard, this major scam has documentaries on both Netflix& Hulu.)

That happened after a long string of odd situations.
