“It’s the little things that…”
I’ve been thinking about that phrase a lot, so when my fiance suggested we have a paint night a few weeks ago it sparked that ‘little feeling’ that I had as a child. The opportunity to create, not for anyone’s sake, not for likes, and not for clout, but just for the practice itself. I realized it had been something I hadn’t done in a while.
I hadn’t picked up a brush to paint since high school but I’ve been passively diving into psuedo-art history with the book I am reading on legendary industrial/product designer Dieter Rams and his design philosophy.
In the book (Less is More) it mentioned the unique Russian artist, Kazimir Malevich, who was avante-garde by discipline and served an important figure in the Suprematism movement.
