Dear 29 Year Old Me

Dear 29,

You were probably one of the hardest years of my life. You challenged me in ways that I couldn’t have imagined beforehand.

I don’t often take time to look back and reflect on a year but as I have the time now, I am thankful for so much of what you forced me to realize. These realizations will stick with me forever:

My faith in God is much stronger than I ever imagined and it isn’t tied to superficial acts but just a true and unwavering belief that you’ve got me.

My family cares more about my well-being than I ever truly gave them credit for.

Nothing is more priceless than my health and I shouldn’t take it for granted.

I can withstand incredibly toxic work environments because I am strong and not a quitter.

Fear is not in my DNA.

I’ve found an amazing woman to spend the rest of my life with.

This and so many more lessons I learned along the way so, as our time together ends, I just want to say thank you from the bottom of my heart, because you helped prepare me for the man I need to be in my 30s 🙏🏾
